Welcome to our special Christmas Newsletter!Issued on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 |
| Season’s Greetings from our team 🎅🏻🎄🧑🏻🎄 |
| Dear Golf Enthusiasts and Passionate World Travelers,
Tis the season to be jolly and we are so excited to share our latest news and send you our best wishes for the new year.
Well…needless to say time goes by so fast when you are having fun!! Our team has been busy behind the scenes as the year ends and bookings are coming in. Yahooo...Our next group of golfers, a family of 4 golfers (single digit handicappers here) will be travelling to Scotland next year and preparations are in order. They are going to visit Edinburgh, St. Andrews and Inverness with special excursions to the Scottish Highlands and whisky distilleries, a tour of the Stirling Castle and a day trip to the Isle of Skye. Oh…and a round at Royal Dornoch too!!! Something we should all be envious of.
As the holidays approach and the clock to find the perfect gift is ticking, we thought It was a good opportunity to share a few golf gift ideas you could potentially explore for your loved ones. Do you think he or she has everything a golfer need? Not quite and this list could help you brainstorm some cool golf geek items. a round of golf at a club he/she always wanted to play at, a lesson with a golf pro, golf gear and accessories, as simple as that, a present from a golf club he/she loves or he/she played at in the past and had a fantastic experience - apart from clothing, It can be a flag, a painting, whisky glasses with the club’s logo, pillows and throws, desk & home decor… a case of golf balls, a golf travel book - “A course called Ireland”, “The Golf Courses of the British Isles”, ”Extreme Golf”, Tom Doak’s Confidential Guide to Golf Courses books… a golf course architecture book - “Tom Doak’s Little Red Book of Golf Course Architecture”, “The Anatomy of a Golf Course”, “the Art of Golf Design”…Our good friends at the Fried Egg Golf have actually put together a nice list of golf litterature must-haves. a collectible item - there are a several online golf focused auctions and you could potentially find great memorabilia for the avid golfers obsessed with the game. We recently purchased an Old Tom Morris putter from 1888 and I can’t deny it, that’s pretty cool to look at. Some auctions run a couple of times a year, some are permanent. Among the best auctions sites, you can check-out Golden Age Auctions and Jeff Ellis. another wonderful auction house for golf lovers is Member For A Day . They offer the opportunity to play a top golf course around the world. We were able to secure several rounds at some of the best courses through their site and are eternally grateful for them. a membership at a club - depending which one of course 😆 a golf travel bag, but not the cheapest one please… It has to be a Club Glove with a stiff arm, golf ball, pencil and bag tags display holders for the collectors out there, golf destination wish map with pin points, outdoor or indoor golf practice net and mat,
Lastly, THE absolute BEST Christmas gift is to start planning a golf trip somewhere he or she has always wanted to play. And you know our thoughts…the more you wait, the less likely you are going to take that trip. Give us a call to start planning a great trip, this is the gift of love for sure.

| | Exciting new connections 🤩 |
| Our recent meeting with rising golf course photographer, James Hogg 📸Based near Hillside Golf Club, famously known as England’s golf coast, we first discovered James’ work through the promotional footage of Comporta Dunes GC in Portugal he did in 2023. James was indeed the first photographer to shoot the World’s Best New Golf Course and we were so impressed by his work that we decided to learn a bit more about him…It seems we actually have a lot in common in fact and we are always in for a friendly chat and a good laugh.
We are grateful to have had the opportunity to connect and learn how James became a golf course photographer and successfully combined his passion for golf with his professional career. We are excited to see his future projects come to completion, including his next endeavors in Mauritius, London’s heathland courses belt, and maybe in France. James might also travel to the US next year to get his drone operator license and we naturally invited him to visit us here in the Lowcountry. We can’t wait to welcome him. |
