What a month! Our team traveled to Málaga, Spain to attend the IAGTO European Convention taking place from 12 to 15 May. The event started with a 4-ball shotgun  Golf Tournament played on 3 different golf courses on Monday 12, followed by a welcome reception, also set in 3 different locations throughout the city. We played at the Parador de Málaga, a Tom Simpson design, and attended the reception at  Sol Torremolinos by Mélia. The next 2 days were filled with wonderful encounters and great networking opportunities. The event reunited +750 international delegates and we met with more than 60+ representatives including golf courses, hotels, and DMCs. The IAGTO dinner took place on Tuesday May 14 at the harborfront restaurant Trocadero Casa de Botes and lastly, we were also invited for an after drinks party at the Carlton Bar in Málaga. Our team decided to experience Málagas’ best hidden gems and enjoyed a great evening at El Balneario.  The conference was exceptionally well organized and we had a lot of fun!

Our team will attend next years’ edition in Gran Canaria from May 19 to May 21.

Following the IEC in Málaga, we experienced a fantastic familiarization trip in the South of Spain. On the agenda, we visited the renowned Finca Cortesin, host venue of the Solheim Cup in 2023 and stayed the night at the fabulous SO SOTOGRANDE. During our short trip, we were lucky to visit La Reserva Golf Club, San Roque Golf Club, Real Sotogrande, Real Valderrama, and enjoyed a tasty lunch with General Manager Fernando Padrón at La Hacienda Links.
