A wonderful FAM trip in France

June was another great month and we are excited to share some exciting news in this 3rd edition of our newsletter.

Let’s start with our FAM trip in the South West of France! Yes…you heard well!!!  During our visit, we rediscovered Arcachon Bay and the Médoc wine regions, both situated near Bordeaux. For us, this region is actually synonymous of great golf, great wine and great beaches and It is a hidden gem a few know about.

We toured some of the best hotels in the region : The newer hotel in the Medoc, La Maison d’Estournel, situated in St Estèphe. And, Château Cordeilhan-Bages in Pauillac. Both hotels were fabulous and we received a warm welcome. We are extremelly grateful to be partnering with them, as well as the Medoc Resort to offer our clients’ the best places to stay. Whether you want to stay in the middle of a vineyard, in an authentic château or at a golf resort, we are able to relate and provide you with the best the region has to offer.

Check out these fantastic pictures we took!!

Golf Destination of the month: Lisbon, Portugal

Discover Lisbon and its surroundings on a memorable golf trip

More so than the Algarve at the moment, Lisbon (and its surroundings) is simply becoming The best golfing destination in Europe. The newish Comporta Dunes has been named Best European and the World’s Best Golf Course in 2023, plus 2 new courses are being developed in the south region of Lisbon. These courses complement the original Troia Golf Club built in the 80s by RTJ.

West of Lisbon above Cascais, Royal Obidos and Penhã Longa are excellent tests of golf that could be combined with the visits of the Sintra Palaces, the beaches and the excellent seafood found along the coastline.

Further north, Praia del Rey and West Cliffs GC are amonth the top golfing experiences in Portugal. The northern Lisbon area is also a fantastic option for accompanying non-golfers who want to indulge in cultural experiences. You can go and explore the cute fishing town of Peniche plus you could tour the walled village of Obidos, visit the classified UNESCO Bathalha Monastery or even, the nights Templar former headquarters in Tomar.

Lisbon city centre is a delightful adventure and we recommend to stay at least 2 nights to immerse into the Portugese culture, visit the monuments and enjoy a dinner with a Fado singer. The experience is absolutely memorable. We highly recommend to dine outside by the Tage River and enjoy either Polvo, Bacaulhau (their famous cod fish), or Beef na Pedra (Hot-stone beef piece).

Our instagram account will start showing more of Lisbon golf courses over the next couple of months! Stay put. Lots of tips and information to come.

If you are interested in a custom-made golf trip in Portugal, look no further…we would be delighted to help you. We have lived in Portugal for over 2 years and Joey Chase has also built a golf course near Lake Alqueva, in the Alentejo region of Portugal.
