Welcome to our newsletter!

Welcome to the ninth edition of our newsletter!

We are thrilled to share that some of our clients teed off today at the iconic Monte-Carlo Golf Club in France — yes, you read that right! The weather was spectacular, and the experience unforgettable. Their journey continues with rounds on two uniquely distinguished courses in Southwest France, followed by two rounds in Northern Spain, and concluding with two more near Porto, Portugal. We wish them a fantastic trip and can’t wait to hear all about their European golf adventure.

Meanwhile, here at our home office in Bluffton, South Carolina, we are in full swing preparing upcoming trips for our valued clients. We are finalizing tee times at premier golf courses, confirming hotel reservations, coordinating with local partners to secure chauffeur details, and shipping our signature “Ready, Set, Golf” packages. We’re also setting up personalized Vamoos digital travel itineraries, which is always a fun and exciting part of our planning process.

Looking ahead, we are actively designing bespoke golf experiences for 2026, with spectacular adventures planned across Spain, Portugal, and the Netherlands. It’s an exciting time as we continue to grow and evolve.

In this edition, we’re pleased to highlight several exciting updates:

  • Camiral – A Quinta do Lago Resort and its recent nomination as the host venue for the 2031 Ryder Cup
  • Our expanding portfolio of golf course descriptions and hotel partnerships
  • The launch of a new European destination: the Canary Islands
  • The creation of our Google Business Profile
  • And finally, our helpful CHASEGOLF Packing Guide

Lastly, our featured Destination of the Month is the Algarve, Portugal — a region where exciting developments and exceptional golf experiences are currently unfolding. We extend our congratulations to the teams at ArrowGlobal, DETAILS, the PGA Tour Champions, and the Algarve Tourism Bureau for their outstanding efforts in elevating this destination.

Warm regards,
The CHASEGOLF Travel Team

Camiral, A Quinta do Lago Resort, host to the 2031 Ryder Cup

Our team is extremely excited to share that our partner Camiral Golf & Wellness Resort and newly rebranded Camiral, A Quinta do Lago Resort, will host the 2031 Ryder Cup, welcoming golf’s greatest team match – Europe versus the United States – back to Spain 34 years after the legendary Seve Ballesteros led Europe to victory.

We couldn’t be more excited for Camiral and the entire Costa Brava region to host such a prestigious event. With this news, our account executive and friend Gemma at Camiral shared the rebranding logo, guidelines and updated tour-operator rates with us, which will enhance our working relationship, enable seamless bookings, and secure additional benefits for our clients traveling with CHASEGOLF.

The 2031 Ryder Cup location was discussed among the various governing bodies for golf during the PGA Show in Orlando, FL earlier this year, and as a result we have been showcasing this golfing region on our Instagram and Facebook platforms to share the high quality of golf courses in this part of Spain and the many cultural activities you can experience off the greens. Make sure to head over and check out the options if you’re interested in a golf trip in this part of Spain; we’ve shared some good info about golf courses, hotels, and sightseeing.

Here is a fantastic video introducing Golf in Costa Brava, recently uploaded on our Spain page of the website. We hope you’ll enjoy it!

A new destination available: the Canary Islands

Following our Fam Trip to the Canary Islands earlier this year, we’ve added this winter destination to our portfolio and created a new section on our website.

Set off the coast of Africa, in the Atlantic Ocean, this Spanish archipelago is a destination blessed with one of the finest climates in the world (300+ days of sunshine each year), making it a perfect year-round destination for golfers, beachgoers and those looking for an off-the-beaten-path adventure. The Canary Islands are made up of 7 volcanic islands, all different in size, landscapes, and culture too. Each island has its own DNA and will certainly charm everyone venturing this way. The islands boast lovely beaches, restaurants, cute cafés and shops, hiking paths, scenic mountain ranges and volcano formations, hilltop wineries, small white villages and so much more…

Canary Islands landscape

The islands are increasingly investing in the golf landscape and currently upgrading several facilities we were lucky to play. Two islands in particular, Tenerife and Gran Canaria, are the leading destinations for avid golfers. Gran Canaria is home to the oldest club in Spain, Real Club de Las Palmas, dating back to 1891 and designed by Mackenzie Ross. It is also the island where you can play Anfi Tauro, an impressive golf course carved out of the volcanic cliffs and designed by Von Hagge, Smelek and Baril. Tenerife, on the other hand, is home to Abama Golf, Golf del Sur, and Buenavista, all ranked in the top 10.

The creation of CHASEGOLF’s Google Business Profile

We celebrated another milestone this past month with the creation of our Google Business Profile, enabling us to gather our customers’ reviews.

As a result, we received 2 five-star testimonials from our clients Marcia and Marie, who benefited from our services for their trips to Scotland, Normandy and Paris, France, and Italy. We’ve also received 2 additional endorsements which we are not able to share at the moment, for privacy reasons. Stay tuned as we expect to add several more reviews in the next few months as we send more and more golfers to Europe.

Introducing our CHASEGOLF Packing Guide

As we develop our clients’ pre-travel documentation and create new internal guides, we’re excited to share a quick preview and a Loom video of our Packing Guide, included in our Ready, Set, Golf packages. All our guides (restaurant guide, tipping guide, rules of golf guide and now packing guide) are printed and shipped to our clients’ homes with the rest of their travel documents, at least 21 days prior to departure. Everything is then loaded onto our clients’ Vamoos online account, so everyone in the group can enjoy a paperless experience with the latest information at their fingertips.

In addition to the guide, we also include a packing checklist to help our clients focus on the priority items. Check it out!

Golf Destination of the Month: The Algarve, Portugal

The Algarve, Portugal

The Algarve has long been celebrated as one of Europe’s premier golf-tourism destinations — home to over 30 courses, sun-soaked weather almost year-round, and excellent accessibility via Faro Airport. The region offers a wide variety of layouts for all levels and is particularly popular with Northern Europeans seeking championship golf and leisure paired with beaches and fine dining.

From our own personal experience living in Portugal for 2+ years, we found the Algarve to be a golfer’s paradise and, most importantly, family-friendly. While the summer months can be busy for obvious reasons, the shoulder seasons boast the perfect weather for golf. Couples, friends and families… there has never been a better time to plan a golf trip there.

For the avid golfers out there, the Algarve can be divided into 3 different areas:

  • To the west, Palmares GC, situated between Lagos and Portimão, is the star of the show, and it’s recommended to stay near Carvoeiro. The area is also great for beach-goers, kayaking, cave exploration, dolphin cruises, and excursions to the Cabo de São Vicente Lighthouse in Sagres.
  • The largest concentration of top golf courses is in the center of the Algarve, near Faro Airport. The top courses in the area are Vale do Lobo, Quinta do Lago, Vilamoura, San Lorenzo and the new Ombria Algarve, a Viceroy property.
  • Lastly, the eastern region of the Algarve is a true hidden gem — less crowded, with great golf courses and beautiful scenery. You’ll find refined accommodation, family-friendly activities, and small fishing villages worth visiting. As far as golf courses are concerned, Monte-Rei Golf & Country Club is the top course in the area, with Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima also being breathtakingly beautiful, by the sea.

This past month, the Algarve witnessed a historic event with the opening of a new private club, the Els Club, designed by PGA champion Ernie Els. The new club features a redesigned 18-hole championship course, transformed from the former Victoria Course, renowned as host of the Portugal Masters. It’s the first Els Club in Europe and the Algarve’s first invitation-only private members’ club. In addition to this new course, the Els Club announced last week that it will host the first PGA Tour Champions tournament, the Portugal Invitational, from July 31 to August 2, 2026.
